Xinchang plant's Unit 2 passes run test
Unit 2 of Xinchang Power Plant passed the 168-hour test running indicating that it was fully commissioned. The 2×660MW USC coal-fired generation units in Phase I of Xinchang Power Plant is the first "replace small units with big ones" power construction project in Jiangxi Province.
Xinchang Power Plant is a key project of Jiangxi Province. Since its commencement, all participants have made concerted efforts to achieve a "quality project and first-class enterprise" with the philosophy of "credit & excellence".
After Unit 1 passed the 168-hour test running on 14 December 2009, Unit 2 was commissioned 5 months ahead of schedule, setting up an industry benchmark in the construction of 660MW USC units. Zero fuel consumption during test running, advanced environmental protection facilities and once-through success in passing 168-hour test running gave the best play to the remarkable "Xinchang speed", making due contribution to CPI's "three-step" strategy.
