New events announced ahead of registration for SIEW 2024

Four new events will be added to the line-up for the 17th Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW). Held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, SIEW 2024 is set to welcome over 16,000 industry captains, policy makers and academic experts to debate on pressing energy issues facing the world today. The week-long premier energy event from 21 to 25 October aims to facilitate meaningful discussions that will address how stakeholders and countries can collaborate towards “A Connected and Sustainable Energy World”.

New at SIEW
Participants can look forward to exciting new events at SIEW 2024, including:
I. Scaling The Hydrogen Economies in Asia is co-organised by the Energy Market Authority (EMA) and the United States Department of Commerce. The inaugural event will discuss the technical and commercial feasibility of hydrogen, through research and development, as well as financing structures to facilitate hydrogen deployment in Asia.
II. Asia Carbon Summit will be held as part of the Asia Clean Energy Summit to discuss “Navigating the Complexities of Carbon Markets in Asia”. The Summit will bring together thought leaders for crucial discussions on the rapidly evolving carbon markets and development of tradable carbon reductions, as well as its removal.
III. Ammonia & Carbon Capture Asia by Asian Downstream Summit will feature discussions on the latest advancements in ammonia production, hydrogen utilisation, and carbon capture, utilisation and storage.
IV. Future Energy Masterclasses organised by S&P Global Commodity Insights, the masterclasses will offer specialised training sessions led by its market experts, on topics across hydrogen, low carbon and renewables markets.
Participants can also join in SIEW’s signature events led by the EMA including the SIEW Summit, the Singapore-International Energy Agency (IEA) Ministerial Forum, and the 4th Singapore-International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) High-Level Forum. For the first time, SIEW delegates can register for the popular series of SIEW Energy Insights, SIEW TechTable and SIEW Thinktank Roundtables in one bundle.
Industry Events
Besides EMA-led events, SIEW industry events will feature conferences and exhibitions on key global and regional energy trends. The Asia Clean Energy Summit highlights the region’s net zero ambitions and the need to accelerate clean energy transition with appropriate technologies, policies and financing. The Asian Downstream Summit & Asian Refinery Technology Conference focuses on advancing sustainable solutions in Asian petrochemicals and refining industries while the Asia LNG Market Conference provides timely analysis of the evolving liquefied natural gas markets. Future of the Grid will centre on effective grid development strategies towards a lower carbon future. The event will also host the 2nd ASEAN Energy Regulatory Forum, facilitating high-level discussions for governments and stakeholders to converse on policy and regulatory developments for enhanced interconnectivity and resilience. The 25th Association of the Electricity Supply Industry of East Asia and Western Pacific CEO Conference is a by-invitation meeting conference that will focus on in-depth discussions on the importance of collaboration and development of interconnected power grids as enablers of our region’s energy transition.
