KITEX allowed to sell wind power to Kerala for 20 years
KITEX Limited has been allowed to sell power from its two wind energy plants to the Kerala State Electricity Board.
This will last for span of 20 years at a preferential tariff of Rs 3.64 per unit.
Each of the wind energy plants has a 0.6 MW capacity.
The tariff rate has been approved without considering any subsidy or incentive offered by the central or state government including accelerated depreciation availed by generating companies. If any such subsidy or incentive comes into the picture, the Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission will adjust the approved rate of Rs 3.64 per unit accordingly.
