
Sri Lanka educates public on energy conservation
Sri Lanka's Ministry of Power and Energy has organized a series of programs to educate the general public on the Energy Conservation Strategies.
The first programme of this nature was conducted at the World Trade Centre under the patronage of Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka.
At this programs targeted the public and private sector workers, the advantages of using the electrical appliances under conserved strategies in the domestic consumption as well as in office time consumption were introduced. Minister pointed out that 15% of electricity can be saved by following the electricity conservation strategies by the electricity consumers in the public and private sectors.
