Yingli to provide PV modules for Singapore plant

Largest solar installation at one location.

That's the project where Yingli Green Energy Singapore's PV modules will end up.

Over 4,000 of Yingli’ s 245W modules will be installed on the roofs of the plant rooms at the Ulul Pandan NEWater Plant project, which is owned by K-Green Trust and will be managed by Keppel Seghers NEWaterDevelopment.

The project is expected to be completed in February 2013 and is anticipated to be the largest solar installation at one location in the country, spreading over 1,000 square metres. The plant holds an estimated 1,200,000kWh production of energy per year.

Yingli will provide 1MW of its multicrystalline PV modules to SolarGy, a PV system integrator in Singapore.

SolarGy will oversee the engineering, procurement and construction of the project.

"Since its opening in 2011, our regional headquarters in Singapore has continuously driven our sales and business development in Southeast Asia," commented Liansheng Miao, chairman and CEO of Yingli Green Energy. "It is a pleasure for us to work with SolarGy and KSND to power the largest solar project in Singapore. We'll continue to build our success in this region and look forward to serving more customers with our high quality products."
