Vena Energy and Mitsubishi partner on 31.65 MW Maibara Solar PPA

The project can supply power to 8,560 average households.

Vena Energy has signed a corporate power purchase agreement with Mitsubishi Corporation Clean Energy for the procurement of electricity from the 31.65-megawatt Maibara Solar project.

In a statement, Vena Energy said the solar project located in Shiga Prefecture is currently under construction and is expected to produce power that can meet the demand of around 8,560 Japanese households annually.

The project can also avoid around 18,600 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions per year and save up to 31 million litres of water for the same period compared to conventional thermal power plants.
