Sungrow, Vietnamese investor INPOS to build 61MWp rooftop solar
This is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 48,405 tonnes annually.
Sungrow has partnered with Vietnamese investor INPOS to build a batch of rooftop solar projects with a total capacity in excess of 61 megawatts-peak (MWp).
This is seen to reduce 48,405 tonnes of carbon emissions annually, which is equivalent to planting some 3.35 million trees.
“Through cooperating with the international-standard supplier and professional team of Sungrow, we head closer to realizing our ambitious goal to have breakthrough developments in the future, so as to help Vietnam achieve net zero emissions by 2050,” Nguyen Khoa Dung, CEO of INPOS, said.
The projects will be for multinational firms, such as Taiwan Flour, Khanh Hoa Beverage, and Miza Paper amongst others. It will spread from northern to southern Vietnam.
In 2022, more than 20 MWp will be commissioned and deployed. This is expected to reduce 16,460 tonnes carbon emissions per year.
Rooftop solar is increasingly becoming popular in Vietnam, especially amongst manufacturing businesses as it helps in getting access clean energy more economically.
