
Sri Lanka special zone to preserve solar power
A special zone will be set up in Hambantota, Sri Lanka to preserve solar power.
Japan and South Korea will grant assistance for this project. 700 kilo watts of electricity will be produced for this project. Japanese government has allocated US$9.2 billion for this purpose. It is expected to complete the first phase of this project by August next year. Further 500 kilo watts of electricity will be produced after the completion of the 2nd phase, which will cost around US$6.29 billion.
