SPNEC starts construction of the world’s largest solar project
The project’s first phase will be completed by the first quarter of 2026.
SP New Energy Corporation (SPNEC) held a ground-breaking ceremony for the 3.5 gigawatts Terra Solar project in Nueva Ecija and Bulacan provinces.
In a disclosure, SPNEC confirmed the mark of the start of the project’s development, adding that it targets to complete the first phase of the project by the first quarter of 2026.

The project sits on an area of around 3,500 hectares and will include around 4,000 megawatt-hours of battery storage.
SPNEC said the project has an estimated cost of around $3.6b (PHP200b).
