SJVN switches on 75 MW solar project
The project has a power purchase deal with the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation.
SJVN subsidiary SJVN Green Energy Limited has started to commercial operation of the 75-megawatt (MW) Gunrhah Solar Power Project in Jalaun in Uttar Pradesh.
In a statement, SJVN said the company won the project through a competitive tariff bidding led by the Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Development Agency.
The power generated from the plant will be supplied to the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation for 25 years through a power purchase agreement.

The project, which development costs around $49.2m (INR408.42 crores) can generate 159.77 million units of energy in the first year, totalling 3,716 million units in 25 years.
This will result in revenues of around $5.8m (INR48 crores) annually.
