
Sintex Group to set 1,720 MW power plants in Gujarat
The Sintex group will put up a two 660 MW coal-based and a 400MW gas-based power plants in Gujarat.
Sintex is renowned for its plastic tanks and other plastic and textile products.
The proposed project, which is expected to cost Rs 8,338 crore will be executed by Sintex Power Limited, a subsidiary of the Sintex Group set up in 2010.
SPL plans to set up the thermal power plant on a 600 acre low and un-productive piece of land close to the Gujarat Coast.
The power plant will use imported coal and natural gas as fuel.
