Senoko Power hits 3 million hours of efficiency
Electricity has never been safer. Senoko Power has set a new safety benchmark performance in terms of safety by achieving three million man hours without any lost-time injury on the 22nd of October. The firm is Singapore’s largest power generation company with a licensed capacity of 3,300 megawatts which provides about 28% of the nation’s electricity needs.
Roy Adair, the President & CEO of Senoko Power, was obviously delighted at the achievement. “Senoko Power is proud to have achieved this significant safety milestone. This achievement places Senoko Power at the forefront of safety performance in the electricity generating industry in Asia,” he said.
Senoko Power which has several initiatives such as the President & CEO Award and regular safety inspections were introduced to encourage Company sections to come up with ideas to improve workplace safety and a demerit point system which was introduced to encourage both employees and external contractors to take ownership of good safety practices.
Adair added that Senoko Power has always placed a great emphasis on safety. “In order to maintain the highest safety standards, we encourage our employees and our business partners to have the right mindset and attitude, to always put safety first. This is an integral part of Senoko Power’s core values. We shall continue in our efforts to be the leader in setting new safety records in the electricity generating industry as we provide the power to make a difference,” he said.
