Sabah to build, upgrade two power substations

Two Distribution Main Intake substations wi be buit and upgraded in Sabah to overcome shortage of electricity supply to residents.

 

These PPUs are in Labuk at KM14 Jalan Labuk and in Taman Tsun Nyen at Km8 Jalan Labuk.

Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd’s East Zone manager Charles K Dalansing said the PPU in Labuk would distribute power supply to Jalan Labuk, Taman Fortuna and Rancangan Sungai Manila while the PPU Taman Tsun Nyen will serve Taman Tyng, Taman Rimba and Sandakan Airport.

He said the Taman Tsun Nyen PPU had started operations since November last year while the PPU in Labuk would be up by next month and both PPU would serve about 48,000 residents.

The overall cost for building and upgrading the two PPU would cost RM8 million.
