PLN and DNV tie up on designing power-grid systems in Indonesia
The grid design will be for disaster recovery control.
PT PLN (Persero), through its subsidiary PT PLN Engineering (PLNE), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with DNV to collaborate on designing power-grid systems for disaster recovery control in Indonesia.
In a statement, DNV said the two-year MOU will focus on supervisory control and data acquisition, and energy management systems that will enable reliable, efficient, and safe operations of smart power grids and microgrids.
“To unleash the potential of clean energy, investing in power grids is as important as investing in renewables developments, and collaboration is essential if smart grids are to maximize their potential to decarbonize energy systems,” said Brice Le Gallo, Vice President and Regional Director APAC, Energy Systems a DNV.
