NTPC’s installed capacity exceeds 73,000MW

This came following the operation of the Unit-2 of the Barh Super Thermal plant.

The installed capacity of India-based integrated power producer NTPC Group has surpassed 73,000 megawatts (MW).

In a statement, NTPC said the commissioning of the Unit-2 of the 660MW of Stage-I (3 x 660MW) of the Barh Super Thermal Power Project in Bihar brings its total capacity to 73,024MW.

The company aims to reach 60,000MW of renewable energy capacity by 2032.

“This accomplishment reinforces NTPC’s commitment to delivering reliable and affordable power to the Nation,” the company said.
