NTPC-UPRVUNL JV signs Rs 7,575 crore loan agreement for 1,320 MW power project

Meja Urja Nigam Private Limited, a joint venture (JV) between the country's largest power company by

generating capacity, NTPC and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL), has achieved

financial closure for its Meja thermal power plant (TPP).
8The company has signed a whopping Rs 7,575 crore loan agreement with a consortium of sixteen banks, led by

State Bank of India.
8The loan has a disbursement period of five years and is to be repaid in a period of ten years, thereafter.
8These funds will be utilized in financing the capital expenditure of the company's 1,320 MW TPP, located in

the state of Uttar Pradesh.
