NTPC launches 1.07GW solar tender in Rajasthan, India

Bids are open until 17 September.

State-owned NTPC has launched a tender for the development of 1.07GW of solar capacity in Rajasthan (India) under an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) model. Each project must be at least 50MW in capacity. The last date for the submission of bids is 17 September.

The latest auction held by NTPC awarded 1.2 GW of solar power projects under the Interstate Transmission System (ISTS). The auction saw a record low tariff of INR2.43/kWh (US$3.2c/kWh). Overall, NTPC received bids for about 1.7 GW of capacity.
