Sasan Power Limited acquired 236.39 more acres to hasten the commissioning of the 3,960 MW Sasan UMPP in Madhya Pradesh.
Sasan Power is a subsidiary of Reliance Power.
With this, the total of acquired land has reached 3,027.28 acres, or around 81.2 per cent of the revised land requirement of 3,728.47 acres.
Going by the latest figures released by the Central Electricity Authority, around 1,879.47 acres of land is now available with the developer for the construction of the main plant of the Ultra Mega Power Project, against the estimated requirement of 2,034.21 acres.
