Kashgar grid connects massive PV storage integrated project
The project has 2 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power generation.
The State Grid Kashgar Power Supply Company has announced that the Shenzhen Energy Shule Photovoltaic Storage Project has been connected to the grid on 30 September.
Located 70 kilometres east of Shule County, this project has 2 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power generation and 500,000 kilowatts/2 million kilowatt-hours of electrochemical energy storage.
It is one of the new policy development financial instruments issued by the Development and Reform Commission of the Autonomous Region to support the market-oriented grid-connected new energy list projects.
With this development, Kashgar's photovoltaic power generation now accounts for 60.08% of its total installed new energy capacity of 8,337,246,800 kilowatts. Additionally, storage photovoltaic power generation comprises 11.61% of the total.
