J-Solar commences construction on Himeji Oshio Solar Power Station

The 2 MW project will be completed in October.

J-POWER subsidiary J-Solar started the construction of the Himeji Oshio Solar Power Station which is expected to start operations in October 2024.

In a statement, J-POWER said the power plant located in Himeji City in Hyogo Prefecture will have a maximum capacity of nearly two megawatts (MW).

J-POWER established J-Solar Co. in August 2023 to manage its solar power generation operations.

Another project, the Kitakyushu Hibikinada Solar Power Station is expected to begin commercial operations in March 2025 with a total capacity of about 30 MW.
