
Hindustan bags $14M conversion facility deal
Hindustan Dorr-Oliver will design, engineer, manufacture and construct a centralized conversion facility of Uranyl Nitrite to Uranium Oxide. The company bagged an order worth US$14 million from the Heavy Water Board of the Government of India.
The plant will be located at the Department of Atomic Energy's Kalpakkam facility. The company shall be executing this project on LSTK basis with a completion period of 16 months and shall also provide commissioning assistance for a period of 6 months.
The company has developed it's manufacturing facility at Ahmedabad to meet the requirements of nuclear component manufacturing.
HDO is already qualified as L1 for the supply of heat exchangers and pressure vessels for the upcoming projects of Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd in Rajasthan and Gujarat. The company has also participated in various EPC projects of large volume for these upcoming nuclear projects.
