The Khazna Solar Project, the fourth utility-scale solar project, could generate electricity for around 160,000 homes and could reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by over 2.4 million metric tonnes annually.
Once operational, it will bring the EWEC’s installed solar capacity to 5.5 GW.
EWEC’s solar capacity could reduce over 8.2 million metric tonnes of CO2 emission annually by 2027.
The project’s developer will enter a long-term power purchase agreement with EWEC.
