DEWA taps PV energy developer for one of the largest solar parks in the world
Astroenergy will help supply 1,800 for the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.
The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has partnered with Astronergy to supply 1,800 MW of ASTRO N5 n-type TOPCon PV modules for the sixth phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.
The DEWA VI project is one of the largest single-site solar parks in the world.
After the operation, the sixth phase project will expand the total power production capacity of the solar park to 4,660 MW.

Before the deal, Astroenergy was granted a supply contract for the DEWA VI project, a collaboration between Masdar and DEWA, last 16 October 2023.
“Pioneer in n-type TOPCon PV modules, Astronergy has always been taking high standards in product manufacturing and improving our TOPCon tech, which enables our products' fabulous performances to satisfy Masdar's strict construction standards,” Dr. Chuan Lu, Chairman and CEO at Astronergy, said.
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park has accumulated a total investment of $136.13b (AED50b), accounting for 16.3% of Dubai's energy mix in 2023 and expected to rise to 24% in 2026.
