
CR Power generation capacity now at 18,124MW
China Resources Power's total operational attributable capacity as of 22 January 2010 increased to 18,124MW.
Coal-fired generation units which have recently commenced commercial operation include the second 300MW coal-fired heat and power co-generation unit of CR Dengkou Plant, the second 300MW coal-fired heat and power co-generation unit of CR Nansha Plant, and the first 600MW coal-fired heat and power co-generation unit of CR Nanjing Thermal Plant.
CR Dengkou Plant is located in Bayannur City of Inner Mongolia. The second 300MW coal-fired heat and power co-generation unit commenced commercial operation on 21 October 2009. Electricity generated by the plant is supplied to Inner Mongolia Western Grid. CR Power owns a 75 percent equity interest.
CR Nansha Plant is located in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. The second 300MW coal-fired heat and power co-generation unit commenced commercial operation on 1 December 2009. Electricity generated by the plant is supplied to Guangdong provincial power grid under China Southern Grid. CR Power owns a 100 percent equity interest.
CR Nanjing Thermal Plant is located in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. The first 600MW coal-fired heat and power co-generation unit passed a 168-hour full load pilot run and commenced commercial operation on 21 January 2010. Electricity generated by the plant is supplied to Jiangsu provincial power grid under East China Grid. CR Power owns a 100 percent equity interest.
In addition, 12 units of 2MW wind turbine generators in Shandong Penglai Xujiaji Wind Farm recently commenced commercial operation. Electricity generated by the farm is supplied to Shandong provincial grid under North China Grid. CR Power owns a 95 percent equity interest.
