Partnership to boost Fujian’s solar energy efforts.
CGN Solar Energy, China’s leading solar power provider and Clenergy International, a Sino-Australian joint venture, have formally signed a cooperation agreement to develop solar power in Fujian. They will partner with the New Energy Industry Alliance, which promotes the development of renewable energy in Fujian and brings together technologies, capital and market resources.
Li Ning, he president of the alliance and the president of the School of Energy Research at Xiamen University, said distributed energy generation in Fujian has huge potential. He cited offshore wind energy developments and solar energy applications in agriculture.
Clenergy also announced plans to build distributed power generation systems with capacities ranging from 200 MW to 400 MW in Fujian in the near future.
