BCPG divests nine solar projects in Japan
The projects have a total capacity of 117 megawatts.
Thailand-based BCPG Public Company divested its nine solar projects in Japan with a total capacity of 117 megawatts and its Asset Management and Operation and maintenance company, whose proceeds will be used to reinvest in other renewable projects.
In a statement, the company said its Japan assets will be transferred to Danish solar player Obton with a total value of around $302.5m (JPY42.97b).

The transaction is expected to be completed within the first quarter of 2024.
“This divestment transaction is in line with BCPG’s long-term strategy to develop and operate world-class quality renewable power plants and exit at the right timing to realize the full value of the assets and to recycle the capital,” the company said.
