Avaada Energy wins 2GW solar project in India

The auction by state-owned NHPC attracted seven bidders.

Avaada Energy won the 2GW solar project to be developed across India, offering a tariff of $0.0333 (INR2.55) per kWh against an initial quoted tariff of $0.0354 to 0.0363 (INR2.71-2.78) per kWh.

The Indian state-owned hydropower group NHPC has conducted an e-reverse auction for a 2GW grid-connected solar power project. The auction attracted seven bidders with a cumulated capacity of 3.14GW.
