Adani Total Gas rolls out green hydrogen blending project
It can power around 4,000 residents and commercial consumers during the pilot phase.
Adani Total Gas launched its green hydrogen production and blending pilot project and is expected to be commissioned by the first quarter of the financial year 2024 to 2025.
In a statement, Adani Total Gas, a company co-promoted by Adani Group and TotalEnergies, said the project will combine green hydrogen with natural gas, with the percentage of green hydrogen gradually increased to up to 8% or more, subject to regulatory approval.
Studies showed that up to 8% hydrogen blend will reduce emissions by up to 4%.

Located in Ahmedabad in Gujarat, the project’s pilot phase can generate electricity that can meet the demands of over 4,000 residential and commercial customers.
“We are fully committed towards building an environmentally sustainable operation and this project represents our ongoing dedication towards national infrastructure building for India to become energy independent by 2047,” said Adani Total Gas Executive Director and CEO Suresh Manglani.
“This project will reduce our carbon footprint and by investing in such innovative projects, we are actively contributing to the evolution of the industry and driving progress in sustainable energy solutions," he added.
