Adani Renewable Energy operationalises 250-MW wind project in India
It utilises an on-shore wind turbine of 5.2 MW capacity.
Adani Renewable Energy Forty One Limited announced the commencement of operation of its 250-megawatt (MW) wind power project at Khavda, Kutchh, Gujarat.
In a bourse filing, its parent company Adani Green Energy Limited said the plant has India’s “largest and one of the world’s most powerful on-shore wind turbines of 5.2 MW capacity.”
This development brings the total operational capacity at Khavda to 2,250 MW
As of the first quarter of fiscal year 2025, Adani Green said its operational capacity increased by 31% to 10,934 MW from a year ago. This was due to additional 2,418 MW of solar plants operationalised in Khavda and Rajasthan, and 200 MW wind power plants commenced in Gujarat.
