Adani Group launches India’s 1st transnational power project
It supplies 1,496MW of energy to Bangladesh from the Godda power plant.
Adani Group has started supplying power to Bangladesh from its ultra super-critical thermal power plant in the town of Godda, marking the Group’s and India’s first commissioned transnational power project.
In a statement, Adani said the Godda power plant has two units with 800 megawatts (MW) capacity each.

Adani Power subsidiary Adani Power Jharkhand entered a power purchase deal with the Bangladesh Power Development Board to supply 1,496MW of energy from the Godda power plant for 25 years from the execution of the deal in November 2017.
The power supply is delivered through a 400-kilovolt transmission system connected to the Bangladesh grid.
