130MWdc Victoria solar plant goes online

It has a 10-year PPA with the Victorian Government.

A solar farm with a 130 megawatts direct current capacity has started operations in Glenrowan in northern Victoria, Australia.

In a statement, developer CIMIC Group company Pacific Partnerships said the power plant will export power to the grid starting in early December and will reach full production by end-March 2024.

CIMIC Group Executive Chairman said the solar farm can generate power that can meet the needs of around 45,000 Australian households.

The plant, located in the North East Renewable Energy Zone, also has a 10-year power purchase agreement with the Victorian Government.
