Vestas to provide wind turbines for 50 MW wind farm in China

Project is in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

Vestas Wind Systems A/S will supply turbines for the 50 MW Yanchi wind park. The deal with natural gas supplier Hanas New Energy is for 25 of the Vestas’ V90 2 MW turbines.

In addition to supply and delivery, the contract covers towers and a standard two-year service agreement. Deliveries are expected to start in the third quarter.

Hanas New Energy has placed orders totaling 250 MW with Vestas since April 2010, all for the 2 MW platform.

Hanas New Energy has 1GW of wind energy in its development pipeline.
