Taiwan Offshore Service Corporation inks manpower deal with ERSG

TOWSC intends to utilise its position in Changhua to form a consortium for future offshore wind opportunities.

Taiwan Offshore Service Corporation (TOWSC) and UK energy recruitment firm ERSG have teamed up to develop manpower solutions in Taiwan, an announcement revealed.

Under the partnership, both parties will target the manning services from construction, commissioning, to operation and maintenance (O&M) stages for offshore wind farm projects in Taiwan. At the same time, both parties also agreed to introduce international experts with experience to train and co-work with local personnel to increase the localisation of skilled professionals in Taiwan.

With 128MW Fuhai Offshore Windfarm (owned by TOWSC's major shareholder Taiwan Generations Corp), Changfang (552MW) and Xidao projects (48MW) totalling a capacity of 728MW, TOWSC noted that it intends to utilise its position in Changhua sea area to form the consortium for future offshore wind opportunities, eyeing the total 5,500MW business between 2020 and 2025.

“ERSG will provide the expertise in manning services into the collaboration and bring in experienced professionals from Europe to Taiwan. By working with TOWSC, ERSG will be able to expand its genuine services to the APAC region,” ERSG noted.
