SECI's 2GW solar tender clinches 11 bids

It was oversubscribed by 3.28GW.

The Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) recent tender for 2GW of the interstate transmission system (ISTS) connected solar projects garnered 11 bidders for a total of 5.28GW of solar projects, Mercom India reported.

The tender has been oversubscribed by 3.28GW. ReNew Power placed bids for 1.2GW, the highest bid capacity on the list, followed closely by NTPC that quoted 1.18GW.

Tata Power Renewable Energy bid for 600MW of projects, O2 Power for 400 MW, whist Eden Renewables, Azure Power, SolarPack, ENEL Green Power, Ayana Renewables, and IB Vogt placed bids for 300MW each. Meanwhile, AMP Solar placed bids for 100MW.

Previously, SECI had extended the deadline for the bid submission of this solar tender to 15 June, from 28 May. SECI had issued a request for selection for the projects in March.
