Qinghe Power's small parts replacement gets ratified
The National Development and Reform Commission has ratified the small parts replacement of Qinghe Power Company's Project Phase II.
In Phase II, an energy-saving, high-efficiency and environment-friendly 600MW supercritical coal-fired unit is set to replace the two operating 200MW coal-fired units.
The 600MW unit in Phase II adopts secondary circulation water cooling with Qinghe reservoir as the water source. The 2.33 million tons of coal needed every year will be supplied by Huolinhe Coal Mine in Inner Mongolia. Efficient electrostatic precipitator and de-SOx equipment are equipped, featuring a precipitating efficiency of 99.9 percent. With a total dynamic investment of US$333.7 million, the project is expected to start generation at the end of 2011.
