
India's Yamne Energy to set up 96MW hydropower plant
Rs 1,450 crore.
Yamne Energy has proposed to set up the second stage (96 MW) of the Yamne hydro-electric project in Arunachal Pradesh for this amount.
The Yamne - II HEP is being proposed as a Run of the River scheme across the River Yamne, which is a left bank tributary of Siang River in Arunachal Pradesh.
The cost is based on the energy output on 90% dependable year at 95% plant availability with the hard cost after escalation pegged at Rs 1,162 crore and IDC & financing charges estimated to be Rs 288 crore taking the total completed cost to Rs 1,450 crore.
The civil and hydro-mechanical works are expected to cost Rs 921.33 crore while the electro mechanical works will entail an expenditure of Rs 115.20 crore.
The construction of the project is estimated to take four and a half years starting 2014 with the preliminary expenses costing Rs 170 crore.
Yamne Energy is a joint venture company of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh and Abir Construction.
