
India's Mahindra to execute 300 MW solar power plants in 2 years
Mahindra EPC is aiming to commission over 300 MW of solar power projects in two years.
"As part of Mahindra Group's rise philosophy and our commitment to meeting India's growing energy security needs, we have forayed into the renewable and clean energy sector," said Zhooben Bhiwandiwala, Executive Vice President, Member- Group Executive Board, Mahindra Group.
The company today inaugurated a 5 MW solar plant at Bikaner in Rajasthan in partnership with PR Fonroche, a joint-venture between PR Clean Energy and Fonroche Energie of France.
The two companies plan to construct one more 15 MW solar plant at Bikaner.
These projects were awarded under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission's Phase I Batch II scheme.
