Bhutan negotiates on exporting energy to Bangladesh

Bhutan's King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck announced that his country is keen to export energy to Bangladesh.

But he would want the Bangladesh government  to develop the country’s overall infrastructure first.

“The different issues of bilateral interests of both countries were discussed in the meeting. Especially, the BNP chairperson discusses the import of energy from Bhutan ,” said Shamsher Mobin.

The King and  Queen Gyaltsuen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck arrived in Dhaka Thursday on a six-day private visit.
