Alstom to supply equipment for Malaysian coal-fired plant
Alstom will engineer, procure, construct and commission a 1,000MW steam turbine, a generator, a supercritical boiler and auxiliaries for upercritical coal-fired power plant in Manjung, Malaysia. The power generation equipment worth over €650 million.
The firm will also supply and install its latest ALSPA Series 6 Distributed Control System, and environmental control systems to reduce emissions.
South East Asia's first such unit will also be the single largest in the region with the capacity to serve about 2 million households in Malaysia.
The plant is expected to come onstream in 2015.
