Panasonic to manufacture solar products in Malaysia
Panasonic Corporation will establish a new solar manufacturing unit in Malaysia next month.
It will operate under a new firm with the name Panasonic Energy Malaysia, and will manufacture solar wafers, cells and modules.
Panasonic will invest JYP45bn or $581 million in the facility, which will have an annual production capacity of 300MW.
The factory is scheduled to begin operations in December 2012.
