Alstom accelerates Asia-Pacific deployment of ALSPA 6
Alstom will collaborate with Petro Vietnam Power Services collaborate on Instrumentation & Control projects.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding, Alstom and PVPS will collaborate to deploy the state-of-the-art Alstom ALSPA Series 6 Distributed Control System for new and existing plants.
“The signing of the MoU between the PVPS and Alstom marks a new development milestone in providing PVPS automation technology solutions and I&C equipment in Vietnam and Asia Pacific,” said Mr. Phan Dai Thanh, Managing Director of PVPS.
The ALSPA Series 6 system is a new generation of automation and control systems that enables consistent control technology over power plants and their interconnection with the grid, allowing more flexible power generation. The ALSPA Series 6 architecture is available for all types of power plant and has to date been deployed on more than 15,000MW of the global installed-base, across thermal, hydro, nuclear, and renewable plants. It integrates common hardware on a single platform to help reduce maintenance, spare parts and training costs for plant operators.
“With the Asia-Pacific region poised for robust growth over the next few years, project collaboration under this MOU will leverage our regional expertise and capabilities to deliver exceptional value to customers”, remarked Mr. Chee Foon Leong, Alstom Power Automation and Controls, Asia Pacific Region Vice President. “This will be a win-win partnership for both Alstom and PetroVietnam. Moreover, we have established a strong local base to ensure proper support for its installed base”, he added.
