Sarawak Energy appoints local-born Madai as GM
Sarawak Energy has appointed Limbang-born Marconi Madai, to the position of General Manager, Corporate Risk & Health, Safety and Environment.
Madai, a Bisaya, has a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, the United States.
Sarawak Energy noted that Marconi has absorbed best practices through a host of vocational courses spanning the globe during his 15-year career.
Madai said Sarawak Energy's growth and hunger to evolve as well as enhance its core human resources pool, has made it possible for him to return home, while still enjoying his specialist career path.
Sarawak Energy CEO Torstein Dale Sj�tveit said Marconi has a proven track record and solid international experience in the operations, business development, risk and safety sector.
"Marconi would be a huge asset to Sarawak Energy as his credentials make him a very sought after management person, not just in Malaysia but on an international level," he told Bernama News.
