Enfinity Global secures $164m financing for Japan solar portfolio
This covers seven utility-scale solar plants.
Renewable energy company Enfinity Global Inc. has secured $164m financing in partnership with Macquarie Capital and Shinhan Asset Management for its 250-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) portfolio in Japan.
According to Enfinity, the funding will cover its seven operating utility-scale solar projects and another one under construction. These have an enterprise value of over $1b.
The projects are expected to produce more than 300 gigawatt-hours of clean energy annually that can power 60,000 Japanese homes and offset 35,000 tonnes of carbon emissions.
Enfinity earlier announced a $195m long-term financing for a 70-MW solar power plant, which is part of its portfolio in Japan.
