Vena Energy starts 42MW Cole solar project operations in Taiwan

It features 100,000 domestically produced solar panels.

Vena Energy has started the commercial operations of the 42-megawatt “Cole” Solar Project in Taiwan.

The project, located in Tainan City, spans 40 hectares and features 100,000 domestically produced solar panels.

It is expected to provide clean energy to around 8,913 households annually.

According to Vena Energy, the “Cole” project’s generation capacity is expected to be equivalent to reducing approximately 30,790 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions.

It is also comparable to saving more than 43 million litres of water per year.

“The Cole Solar Project is the result of several years of development, construction, and most importantly, forging strong relationships with the landowners in the local communities, and we are aligned with the Taiwan Government’s energy transition roadmap and will continue to support its goal of achieving net-zero emissions together,” XS Koo, Head of Vena Energy Taiwan, said.

“This is a collaborative journey, and we will continue to work closely with the local communities, NGOs, and the Chang Jung Christian University to promote sustainable green energy throughout Tainan and Taiwan.”
