JERA’s Indonesia subsidiary begins operations
It will conduct market research and build relationships with stakeholders in Indonesia.
JERA subsidiary PT JERA Energi Indonesia (JERA EI) in Jakarta has started operations, serving as the company’s base of operations in the Southeast Asian market.
In a statement, JERA said its Indonesia unit is mandated to conduct market research based on the analysis of the country’s decarbonisation roadmap for examination and section of partner firms.

JERA EI is also tasked to lead the information-gathering, evaluation and consideration of independent power producers, liquified natural gas-to-power, renewable energy, and other projects.
It will also establish relationships with related ministries, agencies, and local energy companies in Indonesia.
