Japan urges Tepco to hunt for partners for nuclear, grid deals
Tepco will start to actively seek for partnerships next year.
The Japanese government has made a proposal urging Tepco to push for partnerships with other companies on nuclear power and grid operations.
Nikkei Asian Review said Tepco will start talking with potential partners as early as the start of 2017.
The government's proposal targets increasing Tepco's revenues to steer clear of passing the rising costs to the public as much as possible.
The news agency added that Tepco plans to form a power grid consortium in early 2020.
