Ayala Corp's energy arm aims to start wind farm construction in Indonesia asap
Capacity will be sub-100MW.
Philippine-based diversified group and business conglomerate Ayala Corp reveals that its energy arm is nearing the construction start of a new wind farm in Indonesia.
According to the Ayala-owned energy firm AC Energy Holdings Inc's president John Eric Francia, the project's capacity is estimated to be below 100MW. He did not reveal the exact figure, but stated that AC Energy will hold a stake of about 75%.
He also disclosed that the project is a "three-way partnership" as AC Energy has an international and a local partner.
AC Energy eyes injecting US$1.66b (Php80b) in 1GW of new power generation capacity in the next five years. An estimated 60% of the projected capacity will be from renewables according to Francia.
