Avaada Energy installs 1GW capacity in 2021
It plans to reach 5GW installed capacity in 2022 and 11GW by 2025.
Avaada Energy installed 1-gigawatt (GW) capacity last year which is the largest among all renewable energy independent power producers in India.
In a statement, Avaada said the recorded installation holds “special significance” as it was achieved amidst the health crisis which posed major challenges like supply chain disruptions, steep hike in raw material prices and workforce issues, amongst others.
The company has also commissioned 2.2 GW of utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects to date, which is spread across nine states in India.
They also target to reach 5GW installed capacity by year-end, and 11GW by 2025.
“At Avaada, we endeavour to contribute to clean energy development and ensure a sustainable future for posterity. The growth achieved in the last year is against all odds,” Avaada Group Chairman Vineet Mittal said.
“[W]e are confident we will continue to grow at a rapid pace and remain synonymous with renewable development in the country,” he added.
The energy firm has executed over 3.4GW of renewable capacities in India.
