Adani Green Energy operational capacity climbs over 50% in 2022
Its capacity currently stands at 5,410 megawatts.
Adani Green Energy Ltd. (AGEL) reported its operational capacity grew 56% year-on-year to 5,410 megawatts (MW) in the year ended 31 March 2022.
Total sale of energy rose 72% YoY to 9,426 million units over the same period, up from 5,482 million units.
This also represented an 84% growth to 2,971 million units in the fourth quarter of 2022, against 1,64 million units in the same quarter in 2021.
Adani Energy linked the increase in sales to the capacity addition of 1,940 MW as well as the improved solar and wind capacity utilization factor (CUF).

Wind contributed some 1,329 million units, a 123% growth from only 596 million units, previously.
“AGEL’s strong results are a validation of the Adani Group’s rapidly expanding focus on renewables,” Mr. Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Group, said.
“Not only is our investment roadmap in the green energy value chain unmatched by any other portfolio of energy and utility businesses but we have also been consistently setting new industry benchmarks in efficiency, performance and capacity development.”
