3 MW series turbines secured for wind project in Gujarat
Suzlon will cover 16 new wind turbines for a massive-scale wind project in Gujarat.
Suzlon Group acquired the 3 MW series turbines to support the development of a 50.4 MW wind power project for independent renewable energy producer Juniper Green Energy Private Limited.
Located in the Dwarka district in Gujarat, the 50.4 MW wind project will contain 16 new wind turbine generators (WTGs) to be installed with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower that has a 3.15 MW rated capacity. One of the turbines, the S144 wind turbine generator, is one of the largest in India.
Suzlon will also provide the equipment supply for the wind turbines, as well as their assembly, commissioning, operations, and maintenance.

The project is estimated to provide power to 38,000 households and 151,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year, given its massive scale and overhaul of renewable energy.
“We are honored that they have partnered with us again for their wind energy project. The electricity from this project will serve the people of Gujarat, helping us deepen our contribution to the state. Suzlon is committed to serving our customers and the nation with our proven technology, extensive experience, and service excellence in India,” JP Chalasani, CEO of Suzlon Group, said in a statement.
The wind project is set to be completed by 2025.
